This is a wonderful, bestselling book (This is the paperback version)entitled, Peter And The Starcatchers, by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. It is a Disney Edition published by Hyperion Paperbooks for Children/New York. The book measures approx. 5 1/4" by 7 1/2" and is The original hardbook version was copyrighted in 2004, and this paperback version came out in 2006.
This is a "prequel" to the Peter Pan story that we know. Tinker Bell isn't really part of this book . She is introduced only at the very end of the book. You find out about a Peter Pan prior to the story we all know so well. It is truly a fun read!
What makes this book extra special is that Margaret Kerry, the original reference model for Disney's original Peter Pan movie has autographed the book in two places. She writes at the front of the book, "A surprise awaits you on the very last page," and at the end of the book (where it talks about the sequel to this book- PeterAnd The Shadow Of Thieves- she writes, " Dear Reader- With Pixie Dust Tinker Bell can do anything! Margaret Kerry . I'm the original reference model for Tinker Bell for Disney's film, Peter Pan." She has even added a Tinker Bell gold seal on the last page.
