This is a very special 8" by 10" colored photo and one that you should appreciate. It is a lovely picture of Tinker Bell autographed by the extremely gifted artist, Ron Dias, and by the original model for Tinker Bell, Margaret Kerry. ( Margaret is a personal friend of mine.) These are original signatures, not copies.
Ron, in case you didn't know, was the illustrator for numerous Little Golden Books including Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, etc. In addition, Ron has done work for Disney many times for both the park and the studio. One of his drawings was the 45th Anniversary Commemorative of Sleeping Beauty entitled, "The Royal Waltz" and another was the best selling litho of Snow White at the well entitled, "A Charming Wish." He is such a gifted artist and so nice as well!
How this particular picture came to be is that Ron was contacted to do some mini posters for the marketing department of Disney and this was one of them. The Disney project did not end up using this wonderful rendering and it reverted back to Ron. Since he and Margaret are good friends, photo reproductions were made of the artwork and this is what I am selling (with the added bonus of the two signatures!)
If you are not familiar with Margaret, Margaret was only 22 years old when she was selected by Disney studios to enact the production's storyboards for Tinker Bell. Disney animators would capture the essence of Tinker Bell with the help of Margaret's facial expressions, body language and fabulous figure. So having her autograph makes this photo extra special.
It is a truly lovely photo of Tinker Bell with a beautiful aqua colored background. How can you resist, particularly with the very collectible bonus of the two autographs!
