It should be noted that Eddie was not the original voice of Jiminy in the movie, "Pinocchio." He took over Jiminy's voice after the death of Cliff Edwards, the original voice of Jiminy. Disney has called upon Eddie on a regular basis over the last 30+ years to portray Jiminy's voice. You'd be surprised to know how often Jiminy's voice is used. Jiminy is one of the few Disney animated characters to speak in a normal human voice( Remember, he was Pinocchio's conscience so he had to talk sensibly!)
