This is a darling 8" by 10" color photo of Disney's Jiminy Cricket that has been autographed by Eddie Carroll, the man who has been the Disney voice for Jiminy Cricket since 1973 (Original signature, not a copy).
It comes with a certificate of authenticity in a very attractive wonderful brown frame with black metal accents on the corners that measures 10" by 12" We have included an acid free backing board behind the photo to protect it. Eddie was not the voice of Jiminy in the original Disney classic, "Pinocchio." He took over in 1973 upon the death of Cliff Edwards, the first voice of Jiminy Cricket.
In the photo, Jiminy is looking up at a star and so Eddie has signed it"Always wish upon a star" and then signed it with "Your friend, Jiminy Cricket and his voice, Eddie Carroll."
The colors in the photo are vibrant blues, oranges and reds.
Disney has called upon Eddie on a regular basis over the last 30 years to be the voice of Jiminy. You'd be surprised how often Jiminy's voice is used by Disney. Jiminy is one of the few Disney animated characters to speak in a normal human voice (Remember, he had to speak sensibly, he was the conscience for Pinocchio!)
What makes this photo even more special is that Eddie is an accomplished actor with many credits to his name. He is currently touring the country doing a one-man show about Jack Benny and has been given a lot of recognition for his wonderful performance, including The Golden Mike Award for Entertainment Excellence and the Preservation of Broadcast History.
