This is a wonderful, historical, 8" x 10" black and white autographed, photo of Virginia Davis, Walt Disney's first star in "Alice Comedies" way back in l923-25. Roy and Walt Disney are also in the photo along with Virginia's father, Jeff Davis. I obtained the photo directly from Virginia.
Virginia Davis has autographed the photo. She not only signed her named and wrote "Alice" underneath it and the dates 1923-25, but she also wrote the names of Roy and Walt Disney and her father, Jeff Davis, underneath their images. This is an original autograph, not a copy, although, of course, the photo itself is a copy. Virginia is officially recognized by the Disney studios as Disney's First Star and in l998 was presented with a Disney Legend Award. How special is this!

For your information, from 1923-25 Virginia starred for Walt Disney in the "Alice Comedies" which was the first time live action was combined with cartoon characters. The films were directed by Walt Disney and filmed by his brother, Roy Disney. Virginia starred in the first 13 of the "Alice Comedies". In fact, the very first one was filmed in her mother's house with Walt Disney directing and actually appearing in part of the film. These films have become an important part of history.
