  • This is a delightful 8" by 10" color photo of Disney's Jiminy Cricket and Pinocchio that has been autographed by Dickie Jones, the original voice for Disney's Pinocchio, plus Eddie Carroll, the man who has been the Disney voice for Jiminy Cricket since 1973.  These are original signatures, not copies.
  • It comes with a certificate of authenticity and a lifetime guarantee of its authenticity.
  • I obtained the signatures personally from Eddie Carroll and Dickie Jones.
  • It is framed in a quality classic pecan- colored frame with an outside border design.   It is really quite attractive!
  • Eddie was not the voice of Jiminy in the original Disney classic, "Pinocchio."  He took over in 1973  upon the death of Cliff Edwards, the first voice of Jiminy Cricket.
  • In the photo, Jiminy is looking up at Pinocchio and they both are smiling. Eddie has signed it "Be Forever Happy" and then also signed it with "Best wishes, Jiminy Cricket and his voice, Eddie Carroll."
  • Dickie Jones has signed it, "Sincerely, Dickie Jones, THE voice of Pinocchio".

Disney has called upon Eddie on a regular basis over the last 30 years to be the voice of Jiminy.  You'd be surprised how often Jiminy's voice is used by Disney. Jiminy is one of the few Disney animated characters to speak in a normal human voice (Remember, he had to speak sensibly, he was the conscience for Pinocchio!)  What makes this photo even more special is that Eddie is an accomplished actor with many credits to his name. He is currently touring the country doing a one-man show about Jack Benny and has been given a lot of recognition for his wonderful performance, including The Golden Mike Award for Entertainment Excellence and the Preservation of Broadcast History.

Dickie has had acting success as a child and as a young adult, especially in B-Westerns and television.. In 1940, at age 13, he had one of his most prominent (though invisible) roles, as the voice of Pinocchio in Walt Disney's animated film.  He would continue acting through the l950's, but would later retire for the most part from acting to concentrate on real estate and banking.  He is a talented man and I was delighted to meet him in person.

This is a wonderful addition to anyone's collection who loves Disney, Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio and talented actors!!
