This is a simply wonderful, mint condition, three dimensional promotional poster (for want of a better term) from the movie E.T. by Steven Spielberg. It was originally for promotional use only and not for sale. It is made of plastic rather than paper and measures 17 1/4" wide by 27 1/4" long. The body and face of E.T. plus the flower pot juts in and out from the flat surface. There are ridges in E.T.'s face , the eyes extend out as does the nose. It is quite amazing how they did this. This promotional piece apparently advertised the video cassette from MCA Home Video that came out as well as Pepsi. You can see that advertisement in the right bottom corner of this piece. It says right on the piece, "Not for sale, for promotional use only" so I imagine there are not a lot of these that were produced. It would like terrific framed. You could easily hide with matting the advertising if you so chose to but it is a great piece of movie memorabilia just the way it is.
